The Cherokee mythological Uktena from the Moundbuilder period. This motif was found on a vessel at Tellico Mounds, Tennessee. Tellico was also referred to as
"Great Tahlequah" or "Great Telequ". This is a cleaned up and slightly stylized version of the design. Mixed media on textured canvas.
